Background:
ExcessSpace has been a trusted partner to Rent-A-Center since 2005. As a result of on-going acquisitions and rapid growth, Rent-A-Center had several hundred locations that no longer fit their long-term real estate objectives. In conjunction with our national local broker network, we have been able to quickly achieve our client’s primary on-going goal of terminating leasehold obligations. We accomplish this through independent buyout negotiations and often by procuring potential replacement tenants for these locations. By identifying these new tenants, we are able to significantly mitigate the client’s economic obligation by negotiating cost-effective lease terminations.
